Guide for passengers
How does pay on board work on Wiredly?
Wiredly takes no card details: you reserve in the app and pay the crew in cash on board. Wiredly isn’t in the app stores yet; this is how it will work at launch, city by city.
Step by step
Passengers: reserve in the app
You see the fare before you reserve. Your e-ticket shows the amount to pay when you board. See how to book a seat.
Passengers: show your ticket and pay
At the door, show the QR code or say your booking reference, and pay the crew the fare on your ticket. A ticket can be used to board only once.
Crew: check the ticket and collect
Wiredly Operator shows the booking’s seats, stops and the amount to collect. Collect it, then board the passenger. A fare summary shows what was collected, what is still to collect and who boarded.
Crew: sell walk-up tickets
For people without a booking, tap Sell ticket on public and tour trips: choose from and to, the number of passengers and, if you like, seats. Collect the fare and issue the ticket; there are a few seconds to undo. Sales work offline and sync later, and the passenger can be shown a receipt QR once the sale is confirmed.
Crew: hand over the cash
After the trip ends, enter the cash you hand to the owner and tap Declare cash handed over. The amount is filled in with the cash Wiredly expects from the trip.
Owners: confirm or dispute
In the Fleet app or web portal, owners see each handover against the expected cash and confirm it or dispute it with a note.
Pay online in the appComing soon
Online payment in the app is planned. Until then every fare is paid on board.
Questions
Common questions.
Can I pay by card?
Not yet. Today you pay the crew when you board. Online payment is planned.
What if I miss my bus?
You pay on board, so there is nothing to refund. Please cancel in the app as soon as your plans change, so someone else can have the seat.
Does Wiredly take a commission on fares?
No. There is no commission on tickets paid on board. See operator pricing.
